Prague has all the prerequisites to become a leader in the green transformation of Czech cities, given its long-term climate policy and adaptation programme, which has been under development for many years. The presentation will outline the city’s achievements to date in adapting to climate change and the current opportunities for accelerating blue-green infrastructure measures within the city. A new grant scheme will be presented, focusing on the installation of green roofs, climbing vegetation on structures, rainwater harvesting and the removal of impervious surfaces.
