This presentation will introduce a new project by the Association of Green Roofs and Living Walls, focused on developing technical guidelines for the structural loading of green facades. Its aim is to supplement the existing methodology for green facades with information regarding the weight of vegetation, the effects of water and wind, and combined structural loads. The outcome will be an informative appendix supporting the safe and responsible design of green façades in Czech practice. The project is supported by the Ministry of the Environment.

Graduate of the Garden and Landscape Design programme at the University of Agriculture in Brno (1974) and of postgraduate studies in Environmental Design and Protection at Charles University (1978)., expert registered with the Regional Court in Prague in the fields of economics (assessment of environmental damage) and nature conservation (dendrology, tree safety assessment).
