Jana Mudrová is a landscape designer and the founder of Atelier A57 s.r.o. Her work focuses on the design and realisation of private gardens, public spaces, swimming ponds and natural swimming pools. Since 2023, she has served as Vice-Chair of the Association of Natural Swimming Pools and Ponds (ABAJ). She is the recipient of several professional awards, including Garden of the Year 2022, Natural Swimming Pool of the Year 2022, and Swimming Pond of the Year 2021. Atelier A57 integrates architecture, nature and water, creating projects where contemporary design meets attention to detail, craftsmanship and naturally functioning aquatic environments.
Water features support relaxation, reduce stress and improve well-being. However, the design of a water feature in the park of the Palata Home for People with Visual Impairment required compliance with strict requirements related to safety, acoustics, orientation and tactile perception.
Combined with an ecological approach, the project resulted in a unique water feature that helps improve the local microclimate, supports community life within the facility, and significantly enhances biodiversity in the centre of a busy city.
