Jan Nussbauer has been working with perennials since 2009, initially focusing on the implementation of perennial plantings in public, corporate and private green spaces. He further developed his professional expertise through internships in Germany. In 2018, he founded the perennial nursery Herba Grata in South Bohemia, specialising in the propagation, cultivation and sale of perennials for landscape and horticultural companies as well as for private customers.
In his lecture, Jan Nussbauer will focus on the principles of plant selection and use in the immediate surroundings of swimming ponds, natural swimming pools and other artificially created water features. He will present plant species suitable for the desired character, site conditions and spatial scale, demonstrate appropriate planting compositions and proven taxa, and highlight the most common mistakes encountered in the design of surrounding plantings.
